Marcgent ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI sales agent for Facebook Marketplace sellers, including lead scoring, automated buyer replies, and a companion Chrome extension. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
When you sign up, we collect your email address and name, either directly (email + password, stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store your plain-text password) or via Google Sign-In (in which case Google shares your name, email, and profile picture with us).
To score leads and generate replies, we process:
About buyer data: the messages, names, and contact details of people who message you on Marketplace are processed only to generate your reply and score the lead. As the seller, you are responsible for how you use this data and for complying with the privacy laws that apply in your country. Marcgent acts as a processor on your behalf, does not use this data for advertising, and does not sell or share it.
Marcgent does not collect, store, or transmit your Facebook session cookies or password. Earlier versions of the extension synced session cookies to import listings; this has been removed entirely. Listing import now happens server-side from the public URL you paste, without needing your Facebook session. Any cookies stored by earlier versions have been purged from our servers.
We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use your Facebook data for advertising.

We keep your account and lead data for as long as your account is active. Cold (low-interest) leads are automatically pruned to keep only recent activity; hot and warm leads are retained so you can review your sales pipeline. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings.
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to your account data is restricted to authenticated requests tied to your account.
Marcgent is intended for business use by adults operating a Facebook Marketplace selling account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll notify active users by email.
